I'd recommend a Western Digital Caviar Blue. They'are apparently far superior to the rest of the HDD's.

Also, if you're trying to retrieve your files, try making a Linux Live CD (Knoppix) to see if that'll boot into your HDD so you can try to get back what you've lost.

Hey Guys,

I'm not going to be on for a couple of weeks until i can get a new HDD.

Mine failed yesterday and my pc wont load up at all.

Have fun without me...
